There will be three practices available a week. Members are not required to come to all three practices, but are encouraged to come to as many as possible because of their varying purposes. They are open to all members!
All classes will be held at 333 East Campus Mall, on the 4th Floor in the Multi Purpose Room (down the long hallway)
Fall Kickoff will be different than our normal schedule
Mondays - Essentials to Bellydance
These will be from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Essentials to bellydance will work on breaking down the foundational movements of the dance. We will spend more time on building up to each piece of the movement and describing the motions and vocabulary.
Choreographies will be taught in this class, that use the skills taught that day
Thursdays - Skills and Drills
These practices will be from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
In this short hour we will take movements learned from previous practices and focus on repeating them to increase comfort, speed, and fluidity. There will also strength and endurance exercises included to build muscular strength.
Fridays - Bellydance: Explore and Expand
These will be from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
This class will use skills from the Monday class and expand on them further into more developed movements. Choreography will also be taught this day.
All dance materials will be provided, but please arrive in clothes you are comfortable moving in.
